There are many systems available on the market which will automate your existing processes, which should in turn save a few hours and make life a little easier. However, these systems are limited to a linear work process flow and provide little scope for growth and creativity. What tmWare is able to offer above and beyond the simple automation of processes is real intelligence. What we mean by intelligence is ability to add validation rules into the workflow process which adds another dimension to the system. The introduction of validation rules into the operation allows you to tie specific sets of data or actions to different scenarios. For example you may have a next day delivery service, but this is not available on certain products or to certain postcodes. With validation, you can prevent the customer from seeing this service and instead offer the services that are available to that scenario. This prevents performance under delivery to the customer which can be detrimental to a company's reputation. Other examples of validation include capacity management for vehicles and warehouse locations. Intelligence also means the ability to track at item level rather than just at consignment level. In an ideal world all consignments would be loaded out and delivered together, however in the real world this is not always the case, so the ability to handle split consignments and retain visibility at item level is imperative for credibility and customer service. The ability to provide full track and trace and auditing is a real value add to you client. The same goes for how your warehouse is arranged, you may have a customer's products stored at 2 or 3 different physical warehouse locations, but the customer will not expect to see multiple pick charges to reflect this. |
